Beira Port Development project

The Beira Port Development project focuses on expanding the port's infrastructure, including the construction of new berths, storage facilities, and improved cargo handling equipment. This expansion will increase the port's capacity to handle larger vessels and accommodate growing trade volumes.

By investing in the development of the Beira Port, the projects aims to promote regional integration, stimulate economic growth, and create employment opportunities in Mozambique and the surrounding countries. The project aligns with the broader objectives of the Program for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA), which seeks to improve transportation, energy, and ICT infrastructure across the continent.

North-South Corridor Project

The North-South Corridor is a major transportation project under PIDA that aims to improve connectivity and trade facilitation along the transport corridor running from Durban in South Africa to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. This corridor passes through several countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project involves the development and upgrading of road, rail, and port infrastructure along the corridor to enhance transportation efficiency, reduce transit times, and promote regional integration.

Inga Dam Hydropower Project

The Inga Dam Hydropower Project is a flagship initiative of PIDA that focuses on harnessing the hydropower potential of the Congo River in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The project aims to develop a series of hydropower plants in the Inga region, with the ultimate goal of creating the largest hydropower complex in the world. The Inga Dam project has the potential to generate significant amounts of clean and renewable energy, estimated at around 40,000 megawatts. This project has the capacity to provide electricity to millions of people across the African continent and support industrial development
The project is currently in the feasibility stage (S2B) and has garnered interest from the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the World Bank during the BPREF CEMAC round table in Paris in April 2020.
