PISP

The PIDA Support Implementation Project (PISP) aims to provide technical assistance for 35 PIDA PAP 2 projects program focuses on strengthening infrastructure development across Africa.

Overview

The PIDA Support Implementation Project (PISP) is a vital initiative aimed at providing technical support for 35 projects under the PIDA Priority Action Plan 2 (PAP 2). This program is designed to strengthen the capacities of key institutions, including the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), the African Union Commission (AUC), and Regional Economic Communities (RECs). Launched in 2024, PISP is set to run for three years, focusing on enhancing infrastructure development across Africa.

Direct Support to Member States

The PIDA Support Implementation Project (PISP) is committed to providing tailored and direct support to member states, with a particular focus on enhancing their infrastructure development capabilities.

Establishment of a Special Fund for Infrastructure Projects

  • Assist Chad in structuring a Special Fund for infrastructure projects.
  • Develop a Quality Manual for project execution standards.

Action Plan for the Energy Sector

  • Support the National Electricity Company of Chad (SNE) in upgrading the energy sector.
  • Focus on energy access, efficiency, and sustainability.

Infrastructure Development Forum

  • Co-organize the inaugural Infrastructure Development Forum in Chad.
  • Draft invitation letters, Concept Notes, and MOUs.
  • Organize the event and prepare final reports with action plans.

Regional Integration Support

  • Foster collaboration among member states for regional infrastructure projects.
  • Promote sustainable development and capacity building.
